Ship in Stormy Weather

In the 1930s, the Great Depression, America was like a ship in stormy seas. But it had an engine room and it was able to keep the pumps, router, and engine running. This time we are heading into stormy seas again. But this time the engine room is relocated to China. Now there is no way to steer the ship or keep it afloat. The ship is drifting. This time we will not survive.
America had a real economy when Americans made all of the goods used in American homes.

  1. While our engine room may presently be in China, it may be just as swiftly reproduced elsewhere. Let's not forget that the present exploitation of cheap labour in China will inevitably lead to the spread of greater commerce there. Wherever commerce grows and a divide exists between labourers and aristocracy, there will eventually come a time of civil war, where the gap will be bridge. We do not encourage such revolution now because we are the financial beneficiaries of exploited Chinese labour, but when that ceases...
